The Moth is an acclaimed not-for-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. Through its ongoing programs – The Moth Mainstage, The Moth StorySLAMs, MothSHOP Corporate and MothSHOP Community Education Program- The Moth has presented more than three thousand stories, told live and without notes, to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. The Moth podcast is downloaded more than one million times a month, and the sixth season of the Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour, produced by Jay Allison and presented by PRX, The Public Radio Exchange, will air this fall on radio stations nationwide. www.themoth.org
Open-mic storytelling competitions. Open to anyone with a five-minute story to share on the night’s theme. Come tell a story, or just enjoy the show!
Theme: SCHOOLED: Taught by nuns or wolves, the streets, trial, and error or Harvard professors, come share a story of SCHOOL. Prepare a five-minute tale about lessons learned, mentored enlightenment or hard knock knowledge.
